This year on our anniversary, my husband took me to a very nice restaurant on the beach in Santa Barbara.

He made reservations a month in advance and he surprised me with the news a week before our big anniversary.

He told me that we were going to stay in a hotel in Santa Barbara and I was over the moon with joy and excitement. Santa Barbara has the nicest beaches, but the place is always packed with tourists. The prices for everything are higher. My husband and I rarely visit the area, because of the traffic. I was happy when my husband presented me with the surprise. On our way to the beach, we stopped at a marijuana shop for some edibles. We went to a marijuana shop close to our house, because the marijuana taxes in Santa Barbara county are high. I hate to spend more money on cannabis if I don’t need to. We ate two pieces of candy on our way to the restaurant. By the time we arrived, both of us were starting to feel the cannabis. Halfway through dinner, my wife thought she spotted a celebrity sitting at a table near the abc of the restaurant. I tried to tell her that it wasn’t the person she thought it was, but she was convinced that she was correct. At one point, she got up from the table to use the bathroom and she walked right by the table. When she came back, she confirmed that I was correct. It wasn’t the famous actor she believed it was.

San Francisco has cool summer days and the temperatures rarely reach 90 degrees. San Francisco is home of some of the prettiest attractions like Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Fisherman’s Wharf. San Francisco also has one of the largest concentrations of Asian Americans in California. A tour of Chinatown feels like leaving another country. My family and I moved to San Francisco when I was a little girl. I have lived here my whole life. A lot of things have changed in the past 30 years and one of the biggest changes has been the legalization of recreational cannabis. When the state of California legalized recreational cannabis, revenue from taxes on the sales became one of the largest generators of money for the state. Taxes from recreational cannabis pay for road work, new parks, and activities for our youth. Taxes from cannabis make up for more state and local generated income than all of the tourist destinations in the entire state. Since legalizing cannabis, other states have been quick to follow. I feel lucky to live in such a culturally diverse area with forward thinking politicians.

San Francisco isn’t known for having a terrible problem with crime, at least not in the suburban areas.

Downtown things can be a little different when the sun sets.

My friends and I went to a club in the Haight-Ashbury district. It was our first time at this particular club in the San Francisco neighborhood. We spent most of the day in Haight-Ashbury. We shopped in small boutiques and clothing stores and we had dinner at a neat bar with dancing ladies and awesome veggie burgers. While we walked around town, we had the car parked in a secured facility. We had to park in an unmanned parking lot when we went to the club. I was nervous about parking my car in the unlit area, but my buddy assured me that everything would be just fine. I was particularly worried because we bought some cannabis supplies from a dispensary outside of San Francisco on our way to town that morning. The recreational cannabis supplies were on sale and I stocked up with a full order of eight grams. One of my favorite reasons to live in California is the recreational cannabis laws. Prices are relatively inexpensive and it’s easy to find a sale somewhere. I found BOGO $1 on live resin concentrate. Everything was locked in the trunk, but that didn’t stop the thief from finding the supplies. Someone broke into the car and ransacked the trunk as well. They stole everything of value including the weed and my brand new i-pod. It was one terrible way to end the evening after having such a fun and exciting day.

I was cheerful when my partner presented myself and others with the surprise, then on our way to the beach, every one of us stopped at a marijuana shop for some edibles. We went to a marijuana shop close to our house, because the marijuana taxes in Santa Barbara county are high. I dislike to spend more money on cannabis if I don’t need to. We ate more than 2 pieces of candy on our way to the restaurant! By the time every one of us arrived, both of us were starting to believe the cannabis. Halfway through breakfast, my wifey thought she spotted a celebrity resting at a table near the abc of the restaurant.
