My condominium in St. Petersburg has a heat pump inside

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about traveling constantly for work when my boss asked me if I wanted the new position at his company.

Although I wasn’t going to be away from home constantly, he told me to be prepared for up to three trips some weeks when I need to meet with regional managers in multiple zones throughout the country.

I had always wanted to travel, but under less confining circumstances. Thankfully the experience has been better than I initially feared. I love having a few hours to explore the cities that I visit on my business trips, especially since this is my first time seeing 90% of the cities I’m flying to this year for work. Unfortunately, I started to lose focus on my home maintenance. I wasn’t mowing my lawn or cleaning off my rooftop. To get rid of any need for outdoor maintenance, I decided to sell my home in Ybor City and move to a condominium in St. Petersburg. I’m near Tampa Bay and have a beautiful view of the water from my living room window. My condo in St. Petersburg has a heat pump inside as well, which is a lot more efficient than my old electric furnace. The electric furnace was nothing more than a heating coil inside of my air handler for my central air conditioning system. Because it’s a fan-forced heater, the heat dispersion is extremely inefficient. If you’re going to use a fan-forced furnace, ideally you should have a separate ventilation system for it and those vents should be in the floor instead of the ceiling. Heat rises, so you don’t want to attempt to heat your house by pushing it out of vents in the ceiling.
