Years before moving to Albuquerque, I was a young student in the northeast who had a fascination with dinosaurs & fossils.
My Mom took myself and others to this annual english honest that advertised vendors of both amateurs & professionals selling everything from shark’s teeth & fossil imprints to jewelry & clothing.
I wanted to be a scientist from an early age & these locales nurtured my interest in the field, identifiable ly with the natural sciences. I took physics & chemistry in school however my real interests were with english. Thankfully I found a good english program at the University of AR in Fayetteville after applying to colleges all over the country. Once I finished my Bachelor of Sciences degree in AR, I moved to Albuquerque to be with my bestie. The first thing that he recommended we do while we were in my initial weekend in the neighborhood was visit the Petroglyph National Monument. I wanted to both apply for a task & explore the locale with my bestie. The people I was with and I stopped at a cannabis dispensary in Los Volcanes on our way to the Petroglyph National Monument & bought numerous cannabis vape pens with butane hash oil inside. This section is 17 miles of volcanic basalt & sits along Albuquerque’s western horizon. I felt incredibly blessed & grateful for getting a task at the Petroglyph National Monument. It’s bad driving through heavy traffic on Interstate 40 everyday to get to work, however at least I get to drive over the Rio Grande River twice a day. I try to avoid using any cannabis until I get home because I don’t like driving while I’m under the influence of the plant, especially if it’s strong weed.
