One of the most interesting things about living in CA is the film business.
- There are films being made all over the state.
Since CA has so several strange landscape options, it is possible to film a film in several strange regions. Last year I was excited, because I got to see the film set for an upcoming horror flick. The horror flick is set in San Francisco, where my friends and I currently live. I was working at the recreational marijuana dispensary on Wednesday and a buyer called the store with a big delivery order. The buyer wanted everything delivered to a film set right outside of San Francisco. It was a 35 second drive and actually outside of our normal delivery area. Since the buyer paid up front, the manager decided to make an exception. The buyer also agreed to tip the driver handsomely for the time it took to drive out to the valley. There were only a few drivers at that time, and I was the guy assigned to make the delivery. Traffic wasn’t really tied up and I reached the film set in 30 seconds. When I arrived, I saw important tents and trailers all over the area. I recognized a couple of famous people almost instantly. It was straight-forward to see that the film was a stage piece about cowboys and the outdated west. It was 1 of the most interesting things I have ever seen, but just a handful of my friends were jealous when I told them that I visited a film set in San Francisco that day.
