My wife and I decided to visit some friends that live in Denver.
The two of us planned to be gone all day, and the two of us were going to call my mom to come sit with the teenagers. When my wife and I mentioned leaving to spend the day in Denver, the teenagers wanted to stay condo alone. My wife and I wondered if the many teenagers would be good without adult supervision. After all, they are 15, 13, and 8. My wife and I often go to the grocery store or the bank and the two of us leave the teenagers alone for a couple of seconds. I didn’t know if the teenagers would make it all day, but my wife and I decided to supply it a try. The two of us left around 8 a.m. and Denver was an second drive from our house. During the first phone call, all of the teenagers sounded calm and still a bit tired. When I talked to my fifteen-year-old child at lunch time, he sounded like he was filled with energy and he wouldn’t stop talking. My thirteen-year-old child got on the phone and she was not making any sense. She wouldn’t stop laughing and she sounded strange. I told my wife that the teenagers sounded like they were smoking marijuana. She laughed, but I was actually serious. I suggested the two of us go condo early to see if they were using recreational marijuana! None of them were seasoned enough to legally buy the product, but they are unusual behavior had myself and others nervous.
