I miss the beach almost every single day

My wife and I moved to Denver, Colorado a couple of years ago.

I haven’t worked since then. I enjoy being a kept man, especially after my wife made me move 2000 miles away from my family and friends. I didn’t want to leave the sunshine and humidity of the South. I wasn’t particularly excited about leaving the beach either. The company where my wife worked was closing the distribution center close to our home. They did not have a place for my wife unless she was willing to take a supervisory role at the Denver, Colorado branch. I remember the day that my wife came home to tell me about the job in Denver. She knew that I was going to be unhappy leaving the beach and all of the warm, sunny days. Her pitch included recreational cannabis. Denver, Colorado is one city where recreational Cannabis is legal. There are a dozen different dispensaries within the city limits and I would be able to access Cannabis sativa without a medical card. All of the good things about Denver outweighed the bad things, so we moved to the city a couple of months later. We’ve been here for a couple of years and I miss the beach every single day. I haven’t been on a surfboard since we moved. I miss the smell of the salty air and the sound of the birds. My wife and I often go to the lake, but it isn’t the same. I really don’t prefer being stuck in a landlocked state.
