I miss the team, man, but when I first moved to this city, it was the Seattle Supersonics that won my love over! Before that I never really cared about athletic things, or basketball, but the squad of guys they had were so wonderful I became a sizable fan.
- We never won a championship, but they can never take the thoughts I have of that team, then they changed the name to the Sonics, and eventually they moved the team out of the town altogether; I know Seattle WA isn’t easily known as a good athletic area, but oh boy do I miss going to the location to see some hoops.
Fortunately there are a lot of college teams around here I can go see, because Seattle does have a lot of schools. The biggest problem I have is with cannabis, because smoking dope on school grounds in Seattle is not cool. In the parking lot of the major athletic activities locations there is always a lot of tailgating, and in Seattle tailgating means cannabis will be present. For such a sizable city, Seattle is remarkably cool when it comes to marijuana, but there are some strenuous limits around school campuses. I support and abide by these laws, of course, but enjoying basketball is not as much fun separate from some cannabis being involved. Watching hoops on cable doesn’t have the same thrill, but separate from our Seattle Sonics that thrill is gone, anyway. Thankfully the cannabis dispensaries in Seattle are vast, and stocked with the words best weed, so that helps to ease our pain.
