You can easily drive and be in another state to visit their natural park, but for a few afternoons we stayed in the city. Phoenix is known for its hockey courses and my hubby hit a few balls. I went to get a massage and a facial. My friend and I stayed in a swanky hotel and also did some shopping, however after that we got in our rental car and would drive in a direction. My friend and I hit all sorts of national parks near us. Mesa Verde and Death Valley are close enough that the drive wasn’t too bad. My friend and I saw both of them and I couldn’t request it more. Also, the weather in AZ is just gorgeous. You get intense heat, however nothing too bad. My friend and I legitimately went during the Springtime season so it felt kind of like Summer to us. It wasn’t this humid like heat either. I didn’t get drenched with sweat hiking. Instead I felt toasty hot and got a nice tan. That’s the way to do it.
