I knew what it was, because there is a whole TV show about it, but I never thought it would happen to me.
I met a pretty woman named Eddy on Facebook. She was witty and smart and we had so much in common! Plus she was drop-dead gorgeous. We talked a lot, and finally I figured out where she lived so I decided to surprise her with a little visit. This whole time I saw no red flags, and sincerely believed that Eddy was the love of my life. I booked a flight to the southern end of Illinois and rented a car. I drove to the small Illinois town where she lived, and showed up on her front door. This is when I learned that Eddy wasn’t a cute farmgirl from Illinois, but a rugged 55 year old man named Ed. Not only was my heart broken, but now I was out in the middle of rural Illinois with no place to go and nothing to do. The only lucky break I got was that cannabis had recently been legalized in Illinois, so I found the nearest dispensary and loaded up on weed. The cannabis helped calm my nerves and relax me. Since I was already in Illinois I decided to make the most of it. It took a few hours worth of driving, but eventually I got to one of the biggest towns in Illinois, where I found a wide selection of bars, diners, museums, and cannabis dispensaries.
