It costs a lot of money to live in downtown Phoenix, but there are a lot of neighborhoods outside of the city that are nice for families.

We have a small house just south of Phoenix. Every day I drive to work in the city. My wife and I own a small but busy heating and AC repair business. The heating and AC repair business services all of the Phoenix metropolitan area and the surrounding cities. The Phoenix heating and AC business stays busy throughout the entire year. I work about 60 hours each week and I have a couple of part-time employees. My wife stays home to school the children. We have three young boys and they are full of energy. My wife works hard during the day to keep those toddlers under control. When my wife told me that we needed more room, I agreed and that’s why we relocated to the Phoenix neighborhood where we live now. We had a two-bedroom apartment in the city and we were paying $1,700 every month for the rent. Now we have a three bedroom home for nearly the same cost and it is something that we are working towards owning. I think that everyone should own property if they have the opportunity. It’s really hard to save up money for the down payment, but it is absolutely worth it. There were some times when my wife and I didn’t think we would ever get to buy a house.
