I grew up on the coast of OR, and I mean right on the coast! From our front yard I could see the ocean, which meant I spent a lot of time on the beach, then going to the beach in OR is uncommon from other arenas, however i usually stayed high and dry in the sand dunes, or using driftwood as a jungle gym, but the water is icy frigid there, so I never played in the waves honestly much! Now that I live in Portland, OR I find myself missing the beach quite a bit… On the weekend occasionally I will take the 2 minute drive from Portland to the coast, so I can see the ocean again.

I have all the convenience of a sizable city, however within a multiple minute drive from Portland there is the coast, skiing, hunting, rock climbing, and more; Portland is a cultural center for the entire state, with a killer music scene and a burgeoning movie and cable community. It is also lake apartment to the best cannabis I have ever smoked in our life. On our long drives from Portland to the coast I smoke copious amounts of cannabis the entire trip, then spending a few minutes on the beach consistently soothes our soul, and then I am ready to get back to the society of Portland, however as much as I appreciate the village life, getting out of Portland for a afternoon is a terrific stress reliever, and smoking cannabis doesn’t hurt, either.
