I’ve lived my whole life in Muskegon, Michigan. I love the distinct change of scenery, the gorgeous landscape and easy access to water. Sitting right on Lake Michigan, the area includes 26 miles of sandy beaches. I really enjoy hiking the dune trails available in three state parks and seven county parks. There are over sixty miles of trails to explore as well as a collection of inland lakes and rivers where I can take out my boat and fish. I also have a kayak which I take from Muskegon Lake to Lake Michigan. To really get my heart pumping, I cycle the mountain trails at Mosquito Creek Trails, Musketawa Trail and the Hart-Montague Trail. I also take advantage of more than fifteen public and private golf courses. In November, 2018, Michigan voters approved the legalization of recreational marijuana. I am thrilled that I can now walk into a dispensary, show my ID and shop for cannabis. Because of my especially active lifestyle, I often experience aches, pain and minor injuries. Cannabis is a natural remedy without harmful side-effects. I choose CBD-dominant products to treat inflammation, pain, sunburn, bee stings, bruises and strained muscles. I’ve found that edibles work really well because of the more intense and delayed onset of effects. I also like to pick out a THC-dominant, sativa tincture that first right into my pocket. Tinctures are wonderfully portable, discrete and require no extra gear. I place a drop or two under my tongue prior to a physical activity to get energized. The quick onset of effects is ideal and helps me to clear my head, push myself and thoroughly enjoy the activity.
