When I was in school I was a area of the track team.
Before the competitive season started, and every one of us had to race against other schools, the coach took the team on a weekend retreat to get us in the right frame of mind; For 2 afternoons every one of us focused on the mental aspect of the athletic interest, then all of us did some long distance running over uneven terrain, but the point of the weekend was to build bonds within the team; If every one of us wanted to win in competitions, every one of us needed to be united as a team.
It may sound silly to you, but that was the particularly reason I convinced our band to transfer to Seattle, Washington with me. I felt that if every one of us wanted to compete against major rock bands every one of us needed to become a tight, unified squad, and what better location to test ourselves than Seattle? In the entire Pacific Northwest there is no more of a haven for enjoyable tunes than Seattle. The tunes scene in Seattle separates the guys from the boys, so to speak, because it attracts the best tunesians in the world! Jimi Hendrix isn’t from Seattle, even though he came here to hone his craft and become a better tunesian. If Seattle is good enough for Hendrix, it’s good enough for our band, but something else I prefer about this town is how it embraces legalized cannabis. Seattle is beach house to dozens of weird cannabis dispensaries, and not only that but the locally grown weed is out of this world! Wish me and the band luck in the Seattle tunes scene.
